Meet Schnell
Schnell Blanton is running for Addison City Council to provide disciplined leadership during a period of accelerated growth and evolving public safety needs.
A 25-year executive leader, community volunteer, and former small business owner, Schnell will bring operational accountability, financial oversight, and strategic planning experience to public service. She understands that municipal leadership requires more than good intentions — it requires execution. Since settling in Addison, Schnell has been engaging with her neighbors and serving on the Airport Master Plan Project Steering Committee and the South Quorum Road Study Committee. She graduated from Addison Citizens Academy and Metrocrest Leadership Class 35, and led her HOA as President — working directly with the Chief of Police to implement neighborhood road safety improvements.
When a vulnerable senior neighbor passed away alone, Schnell advocated for stronger city senior services, inspiring what became the Addison CARES program. She believes growth must be matched with infrastructure, public safety coordination, and proactive community protections.
As a former business owner serving major clients including American Airlines and the Dallas Cowboys, Schnell understands the importance of infrastructure investment, transportation planning, and regulatory clarity to support economic vitality. “If Addison wants to remain competitive, attract investment, and support workforce mobility, regional connectivity must remain part of our economic strategy. I fully support DART to stay in Addison not only for our business community to maintain a strong workforce pipeline, but to provide accessibility services for our vulnerable residents.”
She supports responsible budgeting, enforcement of short-term rental regulations, and measured oversight of extended-stay properties to preserve community standards.
Professionally, she works in corporate leadership at Nielsen, where financial stewardship and organizational discipline are central to performance outcomes.
Addison is strong — but the next phase of growth requires steady leadership, strategic planning, and fiscal responsibility.
Schnell Blanton is building a campaign focused on broad coalition support, apartment outreach, homeowner engagement, and business community partnership.
Your vote will help ensure Addison remains safe, financially sound, and ready for the future.
Schnell’s Priorities:
- Smart Growth, Strong Foundation: We need to do more than just maintain roads; we should future-proof our community by upgrading aging infrastructure all while being intentional with high-density redevelopment. I will ensure Addison remains the premier destination in North Texas to live, work, and play—without losing our unique character.
- Safety & Standing Up for Neighbors: Safety is non-negotiable. I will advocate for competitive pay to recruit and retain the best Police and Fire professionals while ensuring our seniors and vulnerable neighbors have the advocacy and resources they need.
- Regional Connectivity: DART: Addison’s economic development runs on connectivity. To attract businesses and workers, we need strong public transit. I will fight for reliable, DART services that link our Silver Line investments to economic growth and local mobility.
- Fiscal Responsibility: Your tax dollars are not a blank check. I am committed to transparency and fiscal discipline in spending.
